Hello

I’m Jules, a Primary school teacher at an International school in Amsterdam. I'm also a passionate photographer living in Westzaan in the Netherlands, with my husband Sybren. My love of photography began with a Kodak Disc 3500 camera one Christmas morning, at the age of 9. When I turned 15, I studied Photography and was taught how to develop black and white film by a wonderful and inspiring teacher, Miss Davies. I have always documented my own life along with that of my family and friends and love telling a story through a series of beautiful and emotive photographs. I love to travel near and far with my Nikon; my camera is always at my side, ready to capture the way I see the world around me. I like to capture and illuminate the interconnecting relationships between children and their environments.

I am drawn to capturing people in loving, meaningful moments in a natural and effortless manner. My aim is to observe, follow and anticipate these moments in a sensitive way. I can accompany you on a family picnic, walk in the park or a day at the beach, whatever you may have in mind.
